Episode 1 “The Hunger”

All pregnant women are driven by one thing–”The Hunger”. Good nutrition is essential for both the mother-to-be, and the baby growing inside her. Midwife Shari Daniels is adamant with her moms–eat healthy. Her own daughter Joy is also a midwife practicing at the center, and is about to give birth herself. She’s been preparing for the perfect birth with a healthy diet, yoga and exercise. We’ll see how Shari and Joy share something few other mothers and daughters can, the birth of Shari’s first grandchild. And now that she’s been through it, Joy knows having a baby will make her an even better midwife. Jackie Sigler has also spent the past nine months preparing for a smooth birth through good nutrition, exercise, yoga, massage and even acupressure. It took her a few months to convince her husband Michael, a doctor, that the Maternity Center was the right place for their baby to be born, but now he’s convinced it’s the best place for them. We’ll see Jackie’s amazing underwater birth, and experience her first powerful and emotional moments of motherhood.
