CABLEready, a Norwalk-based television program distribution and development company, has secured the rights to offer the 64th annual Tony Awards to all markets outside the United States and Canada. NORWALK: Lore, a new docu-thriller from the producers of Women Behind Bars and Women on Death Row, has joined CABLEready’s catalogue and will be on offer at NATPE. US distributor CABLEready has reached a new deal with US movie-themed cable network Reelzchannel to represent its programmes overseas. The partnership means CABLEready will be heading to Mipcom next month with Reelzchannel shows such as What I Learned from the Movies – a comedic look at the power of cinema – and The Big Tease, a compilation of new movie trailers.
NORWALK: Eric Benitez has been upped to VP of operations at CABLEready, where his remit includes running day-to-day functions for CABLEready Productions, which is celebrating its first anniversary. Benitez most recently served as CABLEready’s director of operations. He continues daily responsibilities that include the management of all traffic broadcast materials, the company’s technical needs and rights management.
