November 20 Forty-seven of DOMINICK DUNNE’S POWER, PRIVILEGE & JUSTICE went to Spain’s La Sexta while France’s Planet Justice via French sub-distributor ZED took 41 episodes. Spain and Portugal’s Biography Channel purchased eight episodes of the 30m series INFANITY. ATV in Austria acquired eight episodes of the Weather Channel’s half-hour series IT COULD HAPPEN TOMORROW series via German sub-distributor Telcast. November 15 CABLEready picked up the international distribution rights to distribute the new high-def 30-minute EPIC CONDITIONS series from The Weather Channel. The 15-episode show documents those fleeting moments when weather cooperates allowing for the best experiences in outdoor adventures.

September 11 CableU, the online service that provides competitive analysis of cable network performance and trends, has added overviews of 90 cable networks to the site, taking the current total to 120 cable networks. Under the Network Profiles section, which is restricted to subscribers only, the added networks include HBO, ESPN, CNN, The Gospel Music Channel, The Africa Channel among others. August 13 Singapore: AETN is bumping up sales at U.S.-based distributor, CABLEready, which last week said more than half of a slew of new deals in Australia were for AETN’s Crime and Investigation Network. Also in Australia, the History Channel bought three one-hour specials, including THE LINDBERGH BABY KIDNAPPING and STOLEN TREASURES, which follows a six-month investigation into the illegal smuggling of an ancient Egyptian headstone. In Australia, more than half of the deals secured in the region landed at the Crime & Investigation Network.
