    August 11, 2008 CABLEready, the international television program distribution and development company, has secured the exclusive international rights to several original programs about real women from Burrud Productions. Packaged under the “Women in Peril” collection banner, the HD format programming will be offered for international licensing deals for the first time during MIPCOM in October.     June 26 UK indie Steadfast International, the sales arm of Steadfast TV, has entered into a reciprocal distribution arrangement with US factual house CABLEready. Under the deal, Steadfast will distribute CABLEready ‘s programming in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe. In turn, CABLEready will represent Steadfast’s titles in the US and Latin America.     June 25 US distributor CABLEready has pre-sold its upcoming crime documentary pilot LOVE BEHIND BARS to a UK pay-TV network. Crime and Investigation UK, carried on the BSkyB platform, is likely to air the show some time in 2009, CABLEready‘s president Gary Lico told C21. LOVE BEHIND BARS, a planned series about women who fall in love with incarcerated men, is produced by Canada’s CMJ Productions, the company behind CABLEready titles such as STUNT STARS and ACCIDENT INVESTIGATOR.
