“Living With Exotics” is a one-hour documentary about the controversial subject of primate owners. With stories of chimps gone wild making headlines recently, this makes for particularly timely and riveting viewing. “The Big Five Challenge” combines pulse-racing wilderness-based realism with a competitive edge, as contestants from across the globe are challenged to track, locate and document the “Big Five” animals on safari — elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard and lion. Documentary series “Women Behind Bars” spends one hour each week exploring the personal back-stories of incarcerated female murderers, seeking possible explanations for their behavior.
