Cheskin To Assist Producers In Developing Cable Projects

Former WeTV and TLC executive Steve Cheskin has joined distribution and development company CABLEready and research company CableU as a consultant.

Cheskin, who has served as executive vice president TLC and senior vice president for WE tv and is credited for creating Discovery Channel’s popular Shark Week programming stunt, will assist independent producers who have an existing relationship with CABLEready in developing programming projects for network consideration.

“I have known Steve for many years and have long admired his creativity and successful program-creation track record,” said Gary Lico, President and CEO of both CABLEready and CableU in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have him bring vast industry insights and experience to our organization.”
