CABLEready’s MIPTV let to a number of deals in Germany, Israel, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Turkey for its non-fiction programming. They include the rights for the Tony Awards picked up by MICO for NHK, Pramer for Film & Arts Channel in Latin America, Sky Television for The Arts Channel in New Zealand, and Australia’s Foxtel for BIO Channel. Chef Anthony Bourdain’s show A Cook’s Tour has been picked up by Viasat in Sweden & Denwark and Chello Zone for Zone Club channel. Long-running series Inside the Actors Studio has seen new episodes being acquired by Pramer for Film & Arts Channel in Latin America, Israel’s Noga Communications for Channel 8, and Turkey’s Sinema TV. What Were You Thinking?, a 12-part one-hour series has been acquired by ZED/RTL Belgium. Chello Zone has also renewed the rights for Picture This, a 20-part lifestyle series.
