ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Many think that a 16th century Frenchman named Nostradamus could see into the future. This special examines this intriguing historical figure in a new light, using expert interviews, dramatic footage and painstakingly researched recreations to settle many of the open questions that have dogged scholars for over 400 years. This mysterious “seer” wrote short poems, called quatrains, which are credited with prophesizing the bleakest aspects of history – from the rise of Adolph Hitler to the fall of the World Trade Center. New technology is used to decode these cryptic poems to either discredit or create new concern over Nostradamus’ apocalyptic predictions. Premiered on Discovery Channel, USA.

Produced by Lionsgate (2002)
