ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

On November 12, 1996 a Saudi Arabian Boeing 747 had just taken off from Delhi’s IGI Airport. At the same time a Kazakhstan Airways IL 76 was landing in Delhi. Suddenly the two planes collided head on at 14,000 feet. There were no survivors. Using newspaper reports, official documents, and eyewitness accounts, HEAD ON AIR CRASH pieces together the events that resulted in the crash. Could the crash have been caused by severe turbulence? Faulty instruments? Or, could the crash have been a result of a serious error?
